Beaver, Oklahoma Tornado Warning: Reports Suggest Twister On The Ground Near Forgan (UPDATES)

The National Weather service issued a tornado warning Tuesday afternoon for parts of Beaver County, Okla. A tornado reportedly touched down near the town of Forgan in the Okla. Panhandle.

The National Weather Service posted:

SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO. THIS SEVERE
STORM WAS LOCATED 7 MILES NORTHEAST OF FORGAN...OR 11 MILES
NORTHEAST OF BEAVER. DOPPLER RADAR SHOWED THIS SEVERE STORM MOVING
NORTH AT 15 MPH. IN ADDITION TO THE TORNADO...THIS STORM IS CAPABLE
OF PRODUCING LARGE DAMAGING HAIL UP TO GOLF BALL SIZE.

AccuWeather posted just before 4 p.m. CDT, "A confirmed tornado is on the ground and moving northeast of Beaver, Okla."

Weather Underground reported a tornado was spotted near Forgan, Okla.

A severe tornado struck elsewhere in Okla. on May 20, devastating parts of the city of Moore near Oklahoma City. The tornado killed 24 people, including 10 children.

On Sunday, Okla. Gov. Mary Fallin (R) stressed the importance of a "vigorous discussion" about school safety during tornadoes. Last week's twister devastated Plaza Towers Elementary School in Moore, which did not have a "safe room" for teachers and students, reported AP. Seven children were killed in the school.

UPDATE 6:05 p.m. EDT: The National Weather Service has downgraded the warning for the Oklahoma Panhandle to a severe thunderstorm warning. The warning includes the communities of Beaver, Mocane, Forgan and Floris, Okla.

UPDATE 7:10 p.m. EDT: The National Weather Service has extended the severe thunderstorm warning until 7:00 p.m. CDT. The warning includes:
