Daniel Radcliffe: 'Harry Potter' Return As Harry's Dad Could Work

Daniel Radcliffe has done a great job of putting "Harry Potter" in his rear-view mirror, but the erstwhile boy wizard has at least one idea for how he could come back to the franchise, should it continue in the future.

"No more schoolboy stuff," Radcliffe said in a new interview. "A cameo as Harry's dad? That would be perfect!"

Radcliffe has gone far beyond the blockbuster success of "Harry Potter" since the series ended. He's starred on Broadway in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," led a hit horror film ("The Woman in Black") and will next appear as poet Allen Ginsberg in "Kill Your Darlings." That role features Radcliffe kissing another man onscreen.

"It's shocking by the sheer fact that it's me," Radcliffe told Esquire.com's Logan Hill about the film's sex scenes. "Otherwise, it's entirely unshocking that I'm playing Allen Ginsberg in a film about self and sexual discovery, and there's a sex scene."

As for "Harry Potter," Radcliffe has said in the past that he doesn't miss the "hoopla" around the films.

"If I have passed my most famous point, I won't be unhappy," Radcliffe told Moviefone in 2012. "If [my fame] steadily decreases for the rest of my life, I'll be kind of cool with that. I had a good dose of it for 10 years. You know, I'm now content to just make my way and do a lot of films that I find interesting."
