Former DMC Chief Arrested In Panama

Arthur Porter, the former CEO of Detroit Medical Center facing criminal charges in Quebec stemming from his tenure as administrator of a Montreal hospital, has been arrested with his wife in Panama, Canadian officials confirmed.

Porter, administrator of McGill University Health Centre from 2004 to 2011 and previously top executive at the DMC from 1999 to 2003, was picked up along with his wife, Pamela Porter, Sunday. Both were named in an international arrest warrant on charges brought by the commissioner of the provincial anti-corruption task force in Quebec.
