Ray Charles, Blind Golden Retriever Puppy, To Drop Boston Bruins Playoff Puck? There's A Petition

Blind Pup Celeb To Drop Puck For Boston Bruins?

Ray Charles, the blind Golden Retriever puppy who conquered the Internet with cuteness last week, is ready to melt hearts in the National Hockey League.

A petition is circulating to let Ray drop the puck at a Boston Bruins playoff game. As USA Today points out, Ray was adopted by a Boston family; therefore the Bruins are his team.

To prove it, he's wearing a Bruins hat and jersey in a much-traveled photo below (scroll to continue story.)

The petition signatures had topped 3,000 as of Wednesday afternoon. "Ray Charles is an inspiration to all!" wrote one anonymous commenter. "He is loved by many and deserves this opportunity."

If team officials are game, they might want to hustle. The Bruins open their Eastern Conference playoff series against the top-seeded Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday. The Bruins' first home game in the matchup is June 5.

It would be awfully hard to turn down this little guy.
