Justin Bieber Spotted Underage Clubbing In New York

Hey Justin, You Aren't 21...

Justin Bieber attended the premiere of his bud Jaden Smith's new film"After Earth" on May 29 and spent the rest of the night partying at some of New York's hottest clubs. Only problem? Bieber is totally underage.

TMZ reports that 19-year-old pop star and his entourage first hit up Avenue in Chelsea, before wandering over to Marquee, and later finishing the night at 1 Oak. According to the website, while it's possible the clubs in question have a license to allow minors into the venue, they advertised the evening as a 21+ event.

Bieber must have gotten used to hitting up clubs while he was on tour in Europe, where the drinking age is either 16 or 18, depending on the country. And while the singer is of age to drink in his native Canada, he's still underage in the U.S.

Of course, it's shouldn't surprise anyone that night life hot spots tend to have a very lenient policy on age requirements when it comes to underage celebrities -- just ask Drew Barrymore, who was club-hopping at the age of 10.

Nightclubs in Los Angeles and New York have come under fire in the past for opening their doors to underage stars. Though there were reports in 2007 that the Liquor Authority planned to pay closer attention to clubs that cater to under 21 celebs, there have been few crackdowns since the buzz of celebrity at a club brings in so much business that it's worth the risk.
