Ashley Olsen's Polo Dress Is Really Confusing Us (PHOTOS)

PHOTO: Ashley Olsen Brought The Far East To The Polo Match

As fashions change, so do the Olsens. Mary-Kate and Ashley have, in their 26 years, seen many a trend come and go -- and even brought some of their own signature looks in vogue. So when we see an Olsen's style shift, we know the result is gonna be huge.

Ashley, the Olsen most closely associated with classic, understated style, seems to be changing her tune. We scratched our heads when the elder twin (by two minutes) wore a sheer sari-like frock to the Met Gala last month, chalking it up to an experimental risk. But she made a public appearance on Saturday in another eastern-inspired dress with a similar silhouette.

Ashley attended Veuve Cliquot's Polo Classic in Jersey City wearing a floor-length, long-sleeved, Asian-inspired caftan. The outfit's gold embroidery sparkled up a deep red hue, but we were still a little confused by the look. Where's the Row-like luxe minimalism we know and love? Is Ashley taking a page from Mary-Kate's book and going boho on us?
