Peter Boyles, Colorado 'Birther' Radio Host, Out At KHOW After Reportedly Assaulting Producer

Peter Boyles Out At KHOW After Fight

Denver radio talk-show host Peter Boyles has reportedly left the airwaves after getting into a physical brawl with his producer two weeks ago.

9News reported that Boyles' coworkers had observed red marks on producer Greg Hollenback's neck just after the argument that occurred on May 23, the same morning that former U.S. Rep. Tom Tancredo came onto the Peter Boyles Show to announce his run for governor.

"Peter Boyles is no longer with the company," program director Dan Mandis said in an emailed statement. "The KHOW morning show will continue to provide quality news talk programming and serve our loyal listeners."

The brawl between Boyles and Hollenback is reported to have taken place just minutes after Tancredo's announcement, and was first reported by 9News because they were also airing the big gubernatorial announcement.

According to Westword, Boyles grabbed Hollenback's neck with a lanyard, causing the red marks and prompting Hollenback to throw his hat at Boyles.

While it's not known what Boyles and Hollenback were arguing about, the two have been coworkers for about 20 years.

Boyles was well-known for being a megaphone for the birther movement in Colorado. In 2009 Boyles talked on-air about wanting to put up a KHOW billboard asking "Where's the birth certificate?"

In 2010 the controversial radio host also raved about a facelift procedure he had done.

"I really recommend it," Boyles said at the time. "This is kind of a fresh start."
