A new single reportedly from Lana Del Rey has made its way online. Called "Beautiful Player," the track debuted this week. With rap verses and a strong bass line, "Beautiful Player" is a different sound for Del Rey.
"Beautiful Player" has Del Rey discussing her love for a womanizer, signing, "Hit me and it felt like a kiss / You know it hurt so good, when you do me like this / So sad when I hear the girls talk / When I walk by, I start to cry / Cause you're a beautiful player / You're a beautiful player baby." Various songs from Del Rey have been released this year. She contributed to the star-studded soundtrack to "The Great Gatsby" with a track called "Young and Beautiful," and recently recorded covers of Leonard Cohen's "Chelsea Hotel No. 2" and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, the 26-year-old singer is currently at work on her next studio album. "It's a little more stripped down but still cinematic and dark," Del Rey told BBC about her upcoming project. "I've been working on it really slowly but I love everything I've done."
