Mets Fan Falls In Stands At Citi Field (VIDEO)

WATCH: Mets Fan's Epic Fail

Can't anybody here even watch this game?

The New York Mets aren't just having trouble on the field (24-37 entering the weekend) and in the front office (botched a ploy to get help from "cougar" dating site). The struggles have now crossed over into the stands. During a matinee matchup between the Mets and the Cardinals on Thursday, a fan sporting a Mets jersey became a viral sensation by losing his footing and tumbling in the stands at Citi Field. Luckily, all of the seats below him were empty and no one else was involved.

Not surprisingly, this guy became an instant Internet celebrity -- and exemplar of all things Mets.

Ryan Hudson of SB Nation dubbed him "the most Mets fan ever" while Barry Petchesky of Deadspin wrote that the fall usurped the cougars-for-Wright debacle as "the Metsiest Mets thing" of Thursday. Either way, this was a fall worthy of the club that made a folk hero out of Marvelous Marv Throneberry.
