Adele has a longstanding reputation for channeling sixties' glamour with beehive hair and fluttery lashes -- not to mention with her throaty music. So when we see the 25-year-old singer try out a modern beauty trend, we do a double-take.
The "Rolling in the Deep" chanteuse attended a luncheon in New York City on Friday sporting a trendy hairstyle: a crown of braids. Perhaps to keep her face bare in the city's humidity, Adele swept her hair back in the milkmaid style that's sweeping the red carpet this season... and we almost didn't recognize her.
