David Lynch 'Star Dream Girl': Filmmaker Releases Song Off 'The Big Dream'

One of the most perfectly coiffed members of Hollywood elite, David Lynch, recently released a new song.

"Star Dream Girl" is the second single off the enigmatic filmmaker's upcoming album, "The Big Dream." Filled with melodic electric guitar lines and the bluesy speaking voice of Mr. Lynch, the track is a distortion-heavy follow-up to his already released collaboration with Lykke Li.

"Every night they come," Lynch bellows on the romantic song, "to dream of her."

Maybe it's just us, but we can't help but think of Isabella Rossellini circa "Blue Velvet" as the mystery woman.

Listen to the single above and let us know your thoughts on the three-and-a-half minute tune in the comments. Perhaps, as Nylon Magazine pointed out, you can hear a bit of a Nine Inch Nails influence buried somewhere inside?

Also, in other rock news, Beck released a new song. It's just raining strange (yet welcome) releases this week!
