Ellen Page's Likeness Used Without Her Consent In Video Game (UPDATE)

Ellen Page Is Not Pleased

Ellen Page is adorable. So adorable that a video game studio accidentally-on-purpose designed a character that looks suspiciously like her, a coincidence that the actress didn't appreciate especially as she is currently acting in a different video game called "Beyond: Two Souls."

Page cleared up the story in a recent Reddit "Ask Me Anything," saying, "I guess I should be flattered that they ripped off my likeness, but I am actually acting in a video game called Beyond Two Souls, so it was not appreciated," in response to the question, "This has almost certainly been made clear to you several times, but are you aware how much you look like Ellie from 'The Last of Us,' a video game which came out about a week ago. She even sounds like you. So much so that almost everyone assumed it was you playing the role."

Check out the image posted on Reddit. Do you see the similarity?

Naughty Dog, the studio behind "The Last of Us," claimed it was a total coincidence, but nonetheless updated the character's look to more closely resemble the actress who actually plays her, Ashley Johnson.

"Beyond: Two Souls," the video game that Page is actually in, features her as a tough, highly trained commando sent on a dangerous mission. Willem Dafoe's also in it, looking wonderfully sinister. Take a look!

UPDATE: On Tuesday Naughty Dog commented on Twitter, "Wow! The reaction to @EllenPage’s AMA was overblown-After the announce trailer there WAS initial confusion leading us to revise Ellie’s look." Page jokingly posted a tweet, "Now that this TLOU biz has been cleared up, let's talk about how this Fatal Labyrinth character is fo sho me."
