Channing Tatum Gushes About Being A Dad On 'The Late Show'

Channing Tatum stopped by CBS' “Late Show With David Letterman” on Tuesday night, and he couldn’t stop gushing about his baby girl Everly.

Tatum and his wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum welcomed their daughter Everly at the end of May, and Tatum told Letterman that he’s loving his daddy duties.

“Isn’t it just fantastic? Isn’t it just great? And you flip a switch and you’re in love like you’ve never been in love before," Letterman said.

“Babies? I’ve never been so excited when they poo. Like, you know? I’m like, I’m in the game! I’m in the game! Give me the baby. And then it’s a whole game to see if I can change her before she cries and give her back to my wife,” Tatum joked.

Tatum and his wife met on the set of the 2006 movie “Step Up,” and Channing told Letterman he plans on making Everly watch the movie on every birthday up until she's 18 so she can see “the reason she’s here.”

The couple chose to share Everly’s first picture through social media rather than selling it to a tabloid. Channing said they wanted to release the picture themselves so paparazzi would stop hounding them.

"Late Show With David Letterman" airs on weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET on CBS.
