Anthony Weiner: West Bank Is Not Occupied By Israel (VIDEO)

WATCH: Weiner Says West Bank Not Occupied By Israel

At a gathering to celebrate the Supreme Court's DOMA decision at Stonewall Inn on Wednesday, Anthony Weiner said there was no military occupation in the West bank.

Over at The Daily Beast, Ali Gharib has a video of a questioner asking Weiner, "Do you still believe the West Bank is not occupied?" Weiner bluntly responds, "Yes I do. The status of that area is left to be decided by the people who're there."

When asked again, Weiner adds, "I gotta tell you: there are disagreements about what constitutes the West Bank."

This isn't the first time Weiner has raised eyebrows with the controversial stance.

At a 2011 debate hosted by The Nation, Weiner repeatedly claimed there was no Israeli occupation or military presence in the West Bank.

WEINER: Yes.

COHEN: Have you been to the West Bank lately?

WEINER: Yes.

COHEN: You didn’t see the IDF there?

WEINER: In Ramallah? No. In Nablus? No. Now can I tell ya there might be some people in this room who think Jerusalem is occupied.

COHEN: Well hold on a second there, let’s stick to the West Bank. You’re saying there is no IDF presence there?

WEINER: Yes.
