Julianne Moore In 'Hunger Games: Mockingjay' As President Alma Coin?

Heading To 'Hunger Games'?

Julianne Moore could be the latest Oscar nominee to join the cast of "The Hunger Games." According to Deadline.com, Moore is in talks to play President Alma Coin in "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay," the final, two-part film in the "Hunger Games" franchise.

Moore would join Jennifer Lawrence, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Donald Sutherland, Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Sam Claflin and Jena Malone in the "Hunger Games" family. Francis Lawrence is set to direct.

In Suzanne Collins' "Mockingjay," Alma Coin has a key role as a leader in the resistance against The Capitol. (No spoilers, but head to the "Hunger Games" Wiki for more.)

Moore wasn't necessarily a top fan choice for the part. On the "Hunger Games" Wiki, Meryl Streep, Jane Lynch, Sigourney Weaver, Cherry Jones and Maggie Smith were mentioned as possible favorites.
