Each year, the first few selections in the NBA Draft present franchises opportunities for revitalization -- and embarrassment. While every team that has ever landed the No. 1 overall selection in the annual NBA Draft Lottery hoped to secure a player like Tim Duncan or LeBron James there have been quite a few that brought home duds like Kwame Brown or Michael Olowokandi instead.

Some high-profile selections went bust because they couldn't deliver on their potential while others were simply overshadowed by players who came soon after them. With the 2013 NBA Draft seemingly quite unpredictable, top picks might be just as likely to flop as to flourish.
