Arizona Wildfire Time-Lapse Shows Scary Spread Of Deadly Blaze As It Summits A Mountain (VIDEO)

WATCH: Time-Lapse Of Deadly Arizona Fire Spreading

The terrifying spread of the deadly Yarnell Hill fire still raging near Yarnell, Ariz. is captured in this smoky time-lapse video clip recorded by a local resident.

Matt Oss's video -- just 17 seconds long -- shows the fast advance of the fire as it speeds up a mountain in northern Arizona Sunday afternoon, local ABC affiliate ABC15 notes.

Oss recorded about 20 minutes of video for the shot from a vantage point just off State Route 89 in Congress, Ariz., according to his post on video-sharing site Vimeo.

Apparently started by a lighting strike on Friday, the blaze has burned 13 square miles and is currently at zero containment, according to the Associated Press. Besides burning more than 200 structures, the fire has also taken the lives of 19 firefighters -- including 18 members of an elite "hotshot" crew -- making Sunday the deadliest single day for U.S. firefighters since Sept. 11, according to the report.
