'House Of The Tree' Home In China, Designed By Kokaistudios, Is The Ultimate Combination Of City And Nature (PHOTOS)

It sets the bar for urban livinghigh.

Perched high in the clouds on a high-rise tower's 48th and 49th floors is the "House of the Tree," a stunning home in Shenzhen, China designed by architecture firm Kokaistudios in 2011. The Pinnacle List shared photos of its natural, zen-like interiors, which successfully achieves a balance of “living between the city and nature." And according to Archdaily, the architects made a conscious effort to incorporate "environmentally friendly materials and finishing techniques."

But here's the best part: To optimize the panoramic view of the surrounding cityscape, the firm hedged the space with floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Aside from the flow of sunlight that wafts through the space, this design decision is consistent with the firm's goal to "enhance the relationship between the interior and exterior."

As for our favorite spot? Well, we'd be hard-pressed to resist the appeal of that outdoor swimming pool on the adjacent deck. (Think: a late night dip with views of a sprawling metropolis below you. Swoon.)

Needless to say, this home has won us over. To see photos of the property, scroll down and flip through our slideshow below. And for more information on the project, head on over to Archdaily.
