Whitey Bulger Curses At Former Henchman Kevin Weeks In Court

'Whitey' And Former Henchman Curse At Each During Mob Trial

Put two former gangsters in the same courtroom who have metaphorically stabbed each other in the back and it's no surprise when they start cursing at each other.

The profanities started flying in federal court today, as James "Whitey" Bulger lashed out at a former henchman testifying that his ex-boss was worse than a murderer. He was a government informant.

Bulger spat the words "Fuck you" at Kevin Weeks, one of his closest associates in the Winter Hill Gang. Weeks testified it bothered him to help Bulger and another crime associate, Stephen Flemmi, kill five people.

"I had the two biggest rats next to me," Weeks said, referring to Bulger and Flemmi, who were FBI informants, WBZ's Jim Armstrong tweeted.

That led to this interruption in the testimony:

Bulger: You suck

Weeks: F**k you okay.

Bulger: F**k you too
.
Weeks: What do you want to do?

The court: Hey.

Judge Denise Casper chastised both of them, according to radio host Margaret McLeann.

Weeks also uttered an expletive at Bulger's defense attorney J.W. Carney, reporters tweeted.

US Marshals jumped from their chairs to create a barrier between the attorney and the former gangster, according to a reporter from TV station NECN.

Last month, Bulger was reprimanded for cursing at an FBI agent who testified against him.

Cameras are not permitted inside federal court, so the public relies upon the real-time tweeting of the assorted journalists attending the racketeering trial, now in its fifth week.

Bulger is accused of participating in 19 murders and other crimes including extortion and weapons charges. The 83-year-old has pleaded not guilty.
