'America's Got Talent': Mariachi Kids Dance With Machetes

It was the final episode of auditions for "America's Got Talent" and the show was completely stolen by kids. Three kids, ages 11, 7 and 3 to be exact. The kids did a traditional mariachi ballet ... with knives! And these weren't just regular knives, these were machetes. Well, almost all of the knives were machetes.

“Ha, that’s a butter knife," Howie Mandel noticed. A butter knife is like a starter machete for the 3-year old performer. Regardless of the butter knife, the kids got a pass to the Las Vegas round, which kicks off next week.

The Houston Chronicle had mixed feelings about the act, writing that "someone thinks it’s a good idea to dress these tiny children, ages 11, 7 and 3 in mariachi suits and then give them machetes and then make them dance around! This is an adorable if dangerous and terrible idea! But UGH! SO CUTE!”

The cuteness wasn't lost on Buddy TV, who agreed in the charm of the act, But they felt it was missing that "wow factor" and probably won't make it past the Vegas round.

Find out how they do when the next round of "America's Got Talent" kicks off next week, Wednesday and Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
