Social enterprise – business that does not prioritise profit – has outperformed the private sector in the last year, according to new research.
In the past 12 months, 38 per cent of social enterprises surveyed saw an increase in their turnover compared with 29 per cent of SMEs, Social Enterprise UK, the umbrella body, found.
