Robert Zimmerman Jr. Cancels On Piers Morgan

Piers Morgan Clashes With George Zimmerman's Brother

George Zimmerman's brother, Robert Zimmerman Jr., has canceled his appearance on Piers Morgan's CNN show after clashing on Twitter.

Following the verdict that George Zimmerman was acquitted of all charges in Trayvon Martin's death, Morgan tweeted on Sunday, "If George #Zimmerman had not had a gun, he'd have never got out of his car that night, and Trayvon Martin would still be alive."

He added, "I find it very hard to accept that it's 'lawful' to shoot an unarmed 17yr-old boy dead as he walks home. #Zimmerman #RIPTrayvon." He later tweeted, I don't criticise the jury - I criticise the law that enabled them to find George #Zimmerman not guilty of anything. #RIPTrayvon."

Zimmerman linked to Morgan's Twitter comments on Monday:

Morgan defended his comments and announced that Zimmerman had canceled his appearance:

Zimmerman appeared on Morgan's CNN show soon after the jury announced its verdict. "There are factions, there are groups, there are people that would want to take the law into their own hands as they perceive it, or be vigilante's in some sense," Zimmerman said. "They think that justice was not served, they won't respect the verdict no matter how it was reached and they will always present a threat to George and his family."
