Sherri Shepherd will appear in the final season of "How I Met Your Mother."

"The View" co-host shared a photo from the set of the CBS sitcom.

According to TVLine, "How I Met Your Mother" was looking to cast the role of Camille (now renamed Daphne), a woman who sits next to Marshall (Jason Segel, pictured above with Shepherd) on a flight from New York to Minnesota. Shepherd will appear in the 1-hour Season 9 premiere and is set to recur.

Shepherd's other TV acting credits include "30 Rock," "How In Cleveland" and "Sherri."

The final season of "How I Met Your Mother" will take place over one weekend. Wayne Brady will recur as James Stinson, Barney's brother and Cristin Milioti has been made a series regular. Milioti appeared in the Season 8 finale and was revealed to be the titular "Mother."
