San Antonio's mayor isn't putting up with nonsense from the haters on Twitter.

Julian Castro, along with fellow Texas politicians Joaquín Castro and Wendy Davis, was the subject of the August Texas Monthly cover story, which asked whether the trio could turn the state blue.

Twitter user Cody Miller, who goes by the handle @nickelsizehail and appears to identify as a political conservative, thinks they cannot.

"Two wetbacks and a vegan!" Miller tweeted Tuesday. "Blue as the Texas sky!"

To which Mayor Castro responded:
