Miley Cyrus' Haircut 'Changed Her Life'

'A Haircut Changed My Life'

Miley Cyrus has a pretty confident attitude despite the negativity plaguing her at every corner.

Growing up under the spotlight allows for anyone and everyone to criticize, and Cyrus has experienced that to the full extent. She recently spoke to the Toronto Sun about the meaning behind her spunky, attention-grabbing "We Can't Stop" video and the cruel names she's been called since chopping off and bleaching her locks.

“People are watching like, ‘Cute cat plays with yarn,’ for three hours a lot more than they’re watching anyone else’s music video," she said. "And it’s because it makes them happy, it makes them laugh, whatever. So I wanted my video to make people laugh ‘cause I’m the first one to make jokes at myself."

Cyrus, whose engagement to "The Hunger Games" hunk Liam Hemsworth is reportedly still on (she wore her engagement ring in the interview), accomplished what she hoped for. The video got people talking, laughing and even making parodies.

Naturally, discussion transitioned to her infamous new 'do.

"No one would have planned a haircut to change my life,” Cyrus says. “I didn’t plan a haircut to change my life ... There’s something about having no hair that it screams being confident. And I think especially because people like to put people in a box, I mean the names I’ve been called since I cut my hair."

Miley's confidence hasn't gone unnoticed, especially when males come into play. Not only was she voted No. 1 on Maxim's Hot 100, but she has appeared on more beautiful/hot/sexy women lists more than almost anyone else in Hollywood.

Though we'll always have a place for "Hannah Montana" in our hearts, we'll find room for the tatted, twerking and grill-wearing Cyrus of today.
