Steve Cohen Not The Father Of Victoria Brink, DNA Test Proves

Rep. Steve Cohen (D-Tenn.) is not the father of a woman he claimed was his daughter in February 2013, a DNA test proved.

Cohen opened up about Victoria Brink, a daughter he said he learned of just three years ago, after several unusual tweets he sent to her during President Barack Obama's State of the Union address were deleted.

According to Politico, CNN's "New Day" had a paternity test done on 24-year-old Brink, with Cohen’s participation. The test found Texas oilman John Brink, who raised Victoria, is her biological father.

When results showed there was no chance Cohen could be Brinks' father, the Democrat said he was "stunned."

“I was stunned and dismayed at the results. I still love Victoria, hold dear the time I have shared with her and hope to continue to be part of her life,” he said.

In February, Cohen told WREG he found out about Brink by Googling her mother. After telling NBC's Luke Russert Brink was his daughter, Cohen also shared a photo of the two at a White House Christmas party.
