After realizing that he would never get back his old life with Fi again, Michael had a major breakdown on "Burn Notice."
"I have given up everything! Look at this place! I have nothing," he said. "My friends, they moved on. Built new lives without me. I look in their eyes and all I see is pity.”
After that, a distraught Michael hopped into bed with known terrorist Sonya. Buddy TV saw this whole scene as Michael clearly hitting his rock bottom.
“He appears to be clinging to Sonya for reasons beyond fulfilling his deal with the CIA," they wrote. "If the connection between Michael and Sonya continues, will Michael be able to take her down along with the rest of her organization? And how will Fi react if she learns that Michael and Sonya are together in a more than professional capacity?”
SheKnows, however, wondered if Michael wasn't working a different angle. They postulated the theory that Michael went all in with Sonya -- and the mission -- "in some desperate hope that he can complete it and maybe get his life (and Fi) back.”
The final season of "Burn Notice" continues on Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on USA.
