"Magic Mike," the superfun Steven Soderbergh raunchfest, is headed to Broadway in style.

Deadline reports that the show’s producers snagged a dream team of Tony and Pulitzer-nabbing writers to helm the onstage striptease, including “Next To Normal” creators Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, who co-wrote the book for “Spider Man: Turn Off The Dark.”

The eagerly-awaited sequel to the 2012 Soderbergh movie, aka "Magic Mike 2," is also apparently on track for production, confirmed Deadline. Tatum himself may direct it, according to some reports, aided by a freshly-retired Soderbergh on hand as director of photography.

Details about the substance of the Broadway version remain murky but intriguing. While Matthew McConaughey has gone on record saying he’d rather watch the show than be in it, Alex Pettyfer, another original cast member, told Vanity Fair last month that he’s dying for a role. For those of you who may join McConaughey in the seats, producer Gregory Jacobs is promising no less than personal lap dances.
