'Walking Dead' At Comic-Con: EPs Scott Gimple And Robert Kirkman Tease Craziest Season Yet

'Walking Dead' EP: 'Things Are Definitely Going To Be Way Crazier'

"The Walking Dead" is headed back to AMC in October, and executive producers Scott Gimple and Robert Kirkman teased the craziest season yet at "The Walking Dead's" Comic-Con panel in San Diego on Friday.

"Things are definitely going to be way crazier and getting worse," Kirkman said. "People are more ragged, more terrible things are happening and people are having to deal with it."

"Right out of the gate we did things that blew my mind. It's going to get very insane quickly," Gimple added.

So what's the deal with The Governor (David Morrissey) in Season 4?

"All bets are seriously off," Gimple teased, while Morrissey added, "I think at the end of last season, he was in a very dark place ... he feels like [his people] betrayed him and that's not going to go down well with The Governor ... Something happened to him, something switched. He's been thwarted in his desire to take the prison ... a switch goes off in his head [and] I think we see him dealing with that switch."

As for Andrew Lincoln's (Rick Grimes) emotional performance when Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) died at the end of Season 3, he said he owed a huge amount of that to Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl Grimes.

"One look broke my heart. It completely floored me," Lincoln remembered.

Check out the new trailer for Season 4 (above) to see Michonne on horse, tons of zombies swarming the prison, Darryl punching rick, the art of teaching kids how to use knives, and tons of new characters.

"The Walking Dead" Season 4 premieres on Sunday, October 13 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
