This Is What It Looked Like To Ride The Subway In 1905 (VIDEO)

Basically, fewer rats, less graffiti, more top hats.

This 1905 short gem, which we spotted on Peta Pixel, was captured less than a year after the first underground subway line started running in New York City on October 27, 1904. It makes public transportation look significantly classier than its 21st century counterpart.
