Cindy McCain Rips Anthony Weiner In Tweet

Posted: Updated:

Cindy McCain is not buying Anthony Weiner's apology for his latest sexting scandal. In a tweet posted Wednesday morning, McCain shared her unfiltered opinion of the embattled New York mayoral candidate.

At a press conference on Tuesday, Weiner admitted to sexting other women long after he was forced to resign from Congress in 2011. His wife, Huma Abedin, stood by his side and spoke publicly about the challenges Weiner's actions had created in their relationship. "It took a lot of work and a whole lot of therapy to get to a place where I could forgive Anthony," she said. "I love him, I have forgiven him, I believe in him."

Weiner has said he will not drop out of the mayoral race.
