'Little People, Big World: Breaking Down Walls': Amy Decides To Go Back To Work (VIDEO)

Amy Roloff Wants To Go Back To Work, Matt Isn't Supportive

Amy Roloff has spent most of her life with husband Matt raising their kids and supporting his dreams about their farm. On the latest "Little People, Big World" special, "Breaking Down Walls," she decided that it was finally time for her to go back to work.

With just one child left in the home, she was ready to find something that was just for her. So she decided to pursue a career in education. Unfortunately, Matt wasn't very supportive of her plans. He'd rather she just work more on the farm.

“I just don’t think he understands or values some of my aspirations or dreams, because they’re not as big as his," she said in a confessional. "Or, what is that really going to contribute to our bank account?”

She went ahead and followed her heart, landing a job teaching a diversity course at an alternative school. Matt didn't seem very happy about it when Amy announced her new job, but she did ultimately get a congratulations out of him.

Fans won't have to wait so long for the next "LPBW" special. They'll get to see how this tension between the couple plays out on the next one, "Little People, Big World: Welcome to the Jungle," next Tuesday at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
