Look Who's Headed To 'Chicago Fire'

There's a new woman stirring the pot on "Chicago Fire": Michelle Forbes.

"The Killing" and "True Blood" actress joins the cast of the NBC drama's second season in the recurring role of Gail McLeod, a high-ranking consultant with the State Fire Marshal's office, who watches budgets and keeps an eye on the city's firehouses, The Hollywood Reporter was the first to report. According to the website, "[Engine] 51 is definitely under her microscope."

The show's executive producer Dick Wolf confirmed the news via Twitter.

"Chicago Fire" began production on Season 2 this week and the cast has been tweeting photos from the set. Check a few out below!

"Chicago Fire" Season 2 premieres Tuesday, September 24 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
