Bob Filner Sexual Harassment Accusations Pile On From Multiple Women

Four more women came forward Thursday accusing San Diego Mayor Bob Filner of making unwanted sexual advances.

San Diego's former chief operating officer Veronica “Ronne” Froman told KPBS News of an instance where Filner allegedly blocked a doorway, ran a finger up her cheek and asked if she had a man in her life.

San Diego Port Tenants Association president Sharon Bernie–Cloward described one event where he hugged her and "groped me on my backside inappropriately."

Businesswoman Patti Roscoe alleged that Filner repeatedly "put in me what I guess now is the famous headlock; and I felt fearful..."

SDSU dean Joyce Gattas also described instances where Filner made her feel uncomfortable with kisses on the cheek and lingering hands on her knee.

Multiple women have already gone public alleging unwanted advances from Filner, and the mayor's former communications director, Irene McCormack Jackson, filed a sexual harassment lawsuit on Monday.

Filner disputed the lawsuit's claims in a statement, and said he was "saddened" by the charges against him. He has resisted calls for his resignation.
