Sydney Leathers Says Anthony Weiner Told Her He Loved Her, According To Inside Edition

Woman Says Weiner Told Her He Loved Her

Sydney Leathers, the 23-year-old who engaged in online sex chats with Anthony Weiner, says the former congressman told her he loved her.

In an exclusive interview with Inside Edition's Jim Moret, set to air on CBS Thursday and Friday, the 23-year-old says Weiner, during one of their online chats, even consulted her before deciding to run for mayor.

“You told Anthony Weiner that you loved him?" Moret asks Leathers, according to a statement from Inside Edition.

“Yes,” Leathers replies.

“Did he tell you he loved you?”

“Yes.”

Leathers also compares her relationship with Weiner to that of two characters' in the Netflix series, "House of Cards."

“I feel like I’m in a real life ‘House of Cards’…" she tells Moret. "He is the Frank Underwood of ‘House of Cards.' I see Anthony as Frank Underwood, and myself as a Zoe.”

Leathers, who first contacted Weiner after he resigned from Congress in 2011, also gives a tearful apology to his wife, Huma Abedin.

Weiner admitted Tuesday to a previously unreported series of sexually charged, online chats. On Thursday, he said that he had online relationships with three women after he'd already resigned from Congress for lying about a sexting scandal.

Leathers, who lives in Princeton, Indiana, exchanged sexually charged online messages with Weiner and engaged in phone sex.

The revelations have seriously harmed Weiner's standing in the polls. According to the latest Marist poll, he's dropped to second place, from 25 percent of registered Democratic voters, to just 16 percent support. City Council Speaker Christine Quinn has regained her frontrunner status, with 25 percent support.
