'Hell's Kitchen' Finale: Did Ja'nel Witt Or Mary Poehneit Win It All? (VIDEO)

'Hell's Kitchen' Finale: Who Did Gordon Ramsay Choose?

On "Hell's Kitchen," it ultimately came down to Ja'Nel Witt and Mary Poehneit. The executive chef against the butcher, respectively! Emotions were high as the two women faced the doors that would reveal one as the winner, and the other as having come so very close.

When Ja'Nel's door opened, an involuntary scream escaped from her. "I can not believe it. How lucky can I be? I will never forget this day for the rest of my life," she said. Mary was reduced to tears after coming in second, calling the loss a "hard pill to swallow."

Chef Gordon Ramsay was impressed with Ja'Nel throughout the season, but was especially pleased with her conduct in the kitchen during the last challenge. Even though he can be rather intimidating, he found her to be the most composed person he'd ever seen on the show.

She'll now get to put that composure to the test working at Gordon Ramsay's Pub & Grill in Ceasar's Palace with a nice salary of $250,000 per year. According to the Houston Chronicle, Ja'nel had been working hard there as a chef, but the allure of Gordon Ramsay and Las Vegas is calling.

Gordon Ramsay was excited about her victory as well, tweeting that he's proud of her and can't wait to start working with her.
