Man Robbed By Taxi Driver Who Looks Like He Stopped To Help (VIDEO)

It doesn't take a genius to figure out that passing out in a public place is a great way to lose your valuables. Still, it's a little disheartening when the guy that robs you makes a show of stopping to help.

This video, which appeared on LiveLeak July 25, captures a series of events in which a taxi driver appears to swipe a wallet from a man sitting on a curb near a roadway. The title indicates that the sitting man is drunk, and while there's no way to tell that just from the video, the apparent victim of the robbery doesn't look like he's all there.

A taxi driver dressed in a light blue shirt comes over to rouse the victim from his roadside semi-slumber, but quickly rummages through the other man's bag and comes up with a billfold. He then walks away and gets in his cab. The video cuts, then shows police stopping the cab driver.

In the final scene, the victim is loaded into a police van. Maybe the cops got him for public intoxication. Quotas, you know.

Bad as this is, it could have been worse. The allegedly drunken man could have woken up on top of some power lines, or with some kind of creature inside him.
