Wasabi, National Zoo's Fishing Cat Kitten, Pounces, Splashes With Mom In Adorable Video (VIDEO)

We thought the Smithsonian National Zoo's fishing cat kitten couldn't get much cuter than the time he was weighed in a bowl -- but we were wrong.

In this July video, six-week-old Wasabi (he's 10 weeks now) is shown learning how to fish with a little help from Mom:

Wasabi was born at the National Zoo May 17 to dad Lek and mom Electra, who also had two cute kittens last year.

It wasn't until mid-July that vets determined Wasabi's gender, when the zoo shared this absolutely adorable photo from his first vet exam:

Fishing cats aren't the National Zoo's only viral video stars: After a seven-week hiatus, the popular panda cams recently returned.
