'Boardwalk Empire' Season 4 Photos Show Nucky Thompson's Band Of Gangsters Back In Business

New 'Boardwalk Empire' Photos Look Gangster

HBO has released 15 new photos from "Boardwalk Empire" Season 4 that provide a look at what wheeling, dealing, stealing and bootlegging lies ahead for Nucky Thompson's band of merry gangsters.

Some quick observations jump out from the photos. It looks like Nucky Thompson has empowered his Lieutenants to start doing his business for him. Chalky White is dealing with Jeffrey Wright's new character Dr. Arnold Narcisse, who controls Harlem. In another photo, Nucky's brother Eli is doing business with the New York crew.

Over in Chicago, Capone seems to have acquired a few new member of his gang, played by "The Wire" veteran Domenick Lombardozzi. And it looks like the prohibition agent formerly known as Nelson Van Alden may have switched over to Capone's crew, too.

Another photo shows Nucky chatting up Patricia Arquette's new character Sally Wheet, a "tough-as-nails Tampa speakeasy owner with connections to local gangsters."

Several of the photos are set at a nightclub that looks like it might be Chalky's new place. Ron Livingston's new character Roy Phillips seems mighty interested in the African-American ladies dancing on stage.

"Boardwalk Empire" Season 4 returns Sunday, September 8 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
