San Diego Padres pitcher Fautino De Los Santos was one of 12 players to accept a 50-game suspension for violations of the Major League Baseball's Joint Drug Prevention and Treatment Program, the league announced on Monday.

"The Padres fully support Major League Baseball's policy and its efforts to eliminate performance-enhancing drugs from our game. The club will continue to stand behind the Commissioner's Office to ensure the integrity of baseball," the team said in a statement, via Jesse Spector of Sporting News.

Rangers slugger Nelson Cruz and Tigers' All-Star Jhonny Peralta also accepted 50-game bans.

Alex Rodriguez received a 211-game suspension but will appeal.
