The actor's rep Jodi Gottlieb tells People that he is in "good health" following a successful surgery.

"It was detected early and he has been surgically cured," she says. "Dustin is feeling great and is in good health."

Gottlieb disclosed no further information about Hoffman's medical situation.

The 75-year-old recently wrapped production on Jon Favreau's "Chef" in mid-July and is scheduled to begin filming Roald Dahl's "Esio Trot" opposite Dame Judi Dench in the fall.

We hope he gets well soon!
