'Daily Show' Rips Cable News For Politicizing EVERYTHING

John Oliver tore into 24-hour cable news networks for politicizing everything from the birth of the royal baby to a blooming tropical flower that reportedly smells like rotting flesh.

"The truth is, people now try to cram their politics into everything," Oliver said. He then played a clip of MSNBC's Martin Bashir, saying that with all the attention on the royal baby, "this seems like a good moment to take a look at infant mortality here in the United States."

"Does it? Does it seem like a good opportunity?" Oliver asked. "It actually seems like a good opportunity to not bring that up."

Oliver played more clips of Fox News politicizing the Super Bowl and Fox Business politicizing Dwight Howard's decision to leave the Los Angeles Lakers, but perhaps the most ridiculous moment occurred during a segment on the "corpse flower" during MSNBC's "All In With Chris Hayes."
