Adrienne Bailon Slams Britney Spears: 'She Can't Hold A Conversation'

The show is called "The Real" and co-host Adrienne Bailon is serious about keeping it that way.

While discussing troubled former child stars, Bailon brought up Britney Spears, calling her "the pop princess who had the ultimate meltdown" on a recent show. The former "Cheetah Girl" knows a thing or two about being a former child star herself, and she wasn't about to mince words when it came to her opinion of Spears.

"Britney Spears needs to call Miley Cyrus' stylist ASAP," Bailon said, as the now infamous image of Spears shaving her head from 2007 appeared on-screen. "I worked with her on 'X-Factor.' Not gonna lie to you guys, I would sit to do my interviews with Demi [Lovato]. I did, like, the behind-the-scenes stuff. She can't hold a conversation. They have someone who feeds her what she's supposed to say. She can't hold a conversation."

Spears suffered a very public mental breakdown in 2008, and her father Jamie Spears was granted a conservatorship over her personal and financial decisions that remains in place to this day. It's her father's tight control over her life that many credit with Britney's recovery and comeback, even if she doesn't seem quite there all the time. It's been reported that the conservatorship stands due to "psychological issues" and that she suffers from a "personality disorder," which apparently makes her too much of a wild card to be able to make her own decisions.

While Bailon's comments about the "Baby One More Time" singer might seem cruel, it's necessary to remember that Spears has never been known for her wit.

Still, Britney has her career more than back on track these days, but while co-hosts Tamar Braxton and Tamera Mowry agreed the 31-year-old has been through a lot, Loni Love dared to suggest that her breakdown was "karma" or payback for dating a taken man:

“Miss Britney Spears took a dude that was already with a girl that had babies,” the 29-year-old said, referring to when Spears started dating her now ex-husband Kevin Federline, who left his pregnant girlfriend to be with Spears. “And sometimes when you do that kind of stuff and take a dude, that’s called karma.”
