As fans anticipate the release of Goodie Mob’s first joint album since 1999’s “World Party” later this month, many are also questioning the motive behind the group’s 14-year hiatus.

Yesterday (August 6), during an appearance on HuffPost Live, the hip hop quartet -- consisting of CeeLo Green, Big Gipp, Khujo and T-Mo -- talked about their latest “milestone achievement,” recording “Age Against the Machine.” Furthermore, they apologized to fans for the long wait.

“What can I say, we had 14 year hiatus. But we all had individual success, here and there,” Green admitted. “I’ve gone on to do a couple different things... But what we’re doing is kind of bringing it all back home. And I’m sorry that it’s taken this long. We didn’t mean to be as preoccupied as we ended up being.”
