'MythBusters' Tackles 'Breaking Bad' With Aaron Paul And Vince Gilligan (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

'Breaking Bad' Gets Busted

In what is perhaps the most perfect TV crossover ever, "MythBusters" is taking a closer look at the science of "Breaking Bad" with help from creator Vince Gilligan and star Aaron Paul (airs Mon., Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. ET on Discovery).

It's been a year in the making -- since Gilligan told Vulture that he'd love to do a crossover episode with "MythBusters" -- but now that "Breaking Bad" is at the beginning of the end (the final eight episodes premiere Sun., Aug. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC), it's the perfect time to try to prove or disprove some of the science from the show.

The Huffington Post has an exclusive sneak peek at the episode, above, featuring Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman talking to Gilligan and Paul about the two myths they'd like to bust: the explosive powers of mercury fulminate (which played a pivotal role in Season 1, Episode 8 of "Breaking Bad," titled "Crazy Handful of Nothin'") and the plausibility that hydrofluoric acid could eat through a bathtub, a floor and a ceiling (as seen in Season 1, Episode 2, titled "Cat's In the Bag").

Watch out exclusive clip above, and tell us: Do you think these science myths will be busted?

The "MythBusters"/"Breaking Bad" crossover airs Mon., Aug. 12 at 10 p.m. ET on Discovery; "Breaking Bad" returns Sun., Aug. 11 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.
