Sophia Grace & 'Into The Woods': 'Ellen' Show Favorite Cast In Upcoming Adaptation

Coming To The Big Screen

"Ellen" show favorite/Internet sensation/Nicki Minaj impersonator Sophia Grace Brownlee may have found her first film role. The 10-year-old has reportedly been cast in the upcoming adaptation of "Into the Woods."

Brownlee will play Little Red Riding Hood in the film, according to multiple reports. Brownlee's camp reportedly confirmed to Playbill that she has signed on for the role.

Brownlee and her cousin Rosie McClelland rose to fame in 2011 when a video of the girls doing a cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass" went viral on YouTube. The performance landed the duo multiple appearances on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show, making them a crowd favorite.

This reported role will be Brownlee's first foray into film. She previously appeared in an episode of the Nickelodeon show "Sam & Cat." If the rumors are true, Brownlee will join a cast that already includes big names such as Anna Kendrick, Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, and Johnny Depp. "Into the Woods" will hit theaters on Dec. 25, 2014.
