'Two And A Half Men' Casts Amber Tamblyn To Play Charlie's Lesbian Daughter In Season 11

Amber Tamblyn has been cast as Charlie Harper's long-lost lesbian daughter on Season 11 of "Two and a Half Men," HuffPost TV has confirmed.

Tamblyn will appear in at least five episodes as Jenny, Charlie's (Charlie Sheen) illegitimate daughter. Jenny has reportedly moved to L.A. to pursue acting and connect with what’s left of her family, and will apparently like everything that her late father liked -- including women. If the character connects with viewers, there's an option for Tamblyn to become a regular.

She'll make her first appearance in the September 26 premiere, in which she'll end up crashing with her uncle, Alan (Jon Cryer) and his housemate, Walden (Ashton Kutcher). Tamblyn is 30, while Sheen, her erstwhile TV dad, is 47.

Executive producer Chuck Lorre admitted that the addition of a lesbian character would change the the veteran CBS comedy. "I think it would be great to have that voice on the show from a different perspective," he told reporters at the Television Critics Association press tour, per THR. "The show has had enough testosterone to last a lifetime ... Part of the fun in this has been creating a character that is equal to the task of stepping on the stage with Jon Cryer and Ashton Kutcher. That's a big job."

Angus T. Jones is no longer a full-time cast member in Season 11, although he will likely recur in some capacity, despite causing controversy after decrying the series as "filth."

"Two and a Half Men" returns for Season 11 on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9:30 p.m. ET on CBS.
