How Long Will New Yorkers Wait For Food? (INFOGRAPHIC)

Is a ShackBurger worth a two hour wait? Does the thrice-cooked bacon at Mission Chinese taste better if you wait for it for three hours? Are these several-hour waits the norm or exaggerated?

The Huffington Post got in touch with a number of New York City restaurants to figure out the longest times people have spent waiting in line for trendy food items like cronuts and ramen burgers. Yes, people really are willing to sacrifice huge chunks of time for the sweet and spicy taste of Pok Pok's Thai chicken wings.

Not all lines are quite as bad as reports have made them out to be, though. People lament the long lines for barbecue at Mighty Quinn's, but the waits usually top out at 30 minutes. The waits for cronuts, however, are a totally different story. When chef Dominique Ansel showed up to his bakery at 3:30 a.m., there was already a woman waiting for the store to open at 8 a.m.
