Anthony Weiner: 'I Do' Know Huma Abedin's Role In Hillary Clinton's 2016 Campaign (VIDEO)

Weiner On Abedin's Role In Hillary 2016: 'I'm Not Telling You'

In a BuzzFeed Brews interview on Monday, New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner (D) told BuzzFeed Editor Ben Smith that he knows what wife Huma Abedin's role in Hillary Clinton's potential 2016 presidential bid will be.

Whether he'd share the information, however, was another story.

"I do," he said, in response to Smith's question. "I'm not telling you."

Abedin has been an aide to Clinton since the Former First Lady's White House days, currently serving as her transition office chief. Abedin is reportedly taking an extended vacation from her position with Clinton in the weeks leading up to her husband's mayoral primary election, according to Politico.

The embattled candidate's wife recently met the public eye when she spoke in her husband's defense during a press conference addressing continued sexting allegations against him.

When asked by Smith about Abedin's role in his mayoral race, Weiner said she's contributing to the campaign every day. He admitted that his actions have created challenges for her.

"I feel that what I have done has hurt her, yeah," Weiner said. "It's hurt her professionally, it's hurt her personally."
