Colored Toilet Paper Matched Dresses In The 1950s, Now Kris Jenner Uses It (PHOTO)

Our grandmothers loved it, but now it's a rarity.

I have fuzzy memories of my grandmother stocking her bathroom with pink toilet paper. Or, at the very least, seeing pink and blue toilet paper on sale at the local Acme market. These products are now a rarity -- you'd sooner find packets of Jello 1-2-3 on shelves.

Citing poor sales figures due to medical and ecological concerns about the general safety of pastel dyes, colored toilet paper quietly drifted to the island of discontinued items. The experts at Toilet Paper World (yes, such a place exists) say that the colorful rolls were discontinued in 2004.

But that doesn't mean colored toilet paper disappeared. Renova sells rolls that look more like party streamers than something you'd use in the bathroom. The company also sells black toilet paper, which has been enthusiastically embraced by Kris Jenner.

Kardashian news aside, we're paying tribute to the pastel-hued toilet papers of the Betty Draper generation. Which not only matched one's bathroom decor, but they also matched one's dress.

Editor's note: An earlier version of this story posted an incorrect link to Renova. The link has been updated, so you can get your fill of designer toilet tissue.
